Cairns Holiday DAY 2

This morning we all headed off to Rusty's market, which is mainly a fruit and veg market in town. It was great to see a bit of the city too. We stocked up on so much fruit and veg for the week and then made our way to Cairns Central shopping centre to do some grocery shopping. Poor Debbie and Tim hadn't even had time to fill their new fridge and cupboards with food as they had been too busy moving in! So, now that the fridges and pantries were stocked it felt good!

While at the market I bought a coconut to drink. Last time I drank straight from the coconut was when I was on holiday in Thailand, and I just had to do it again! We looked like such tourists but we didn't mind as we were! Isabella loved the coconut milk and while Alexandra was a bit hesitant to try it, she soon fell in love with it.

We spent the rest of the day just vegging around the house and helping Debbie and Tim settle in a bit more. Debbie was feeling very uncomfortable as the heat and activity wasn't helping her very pregnant body!

We had a rest by the pool and Isabella had a swim while Alex slept. She was the first one to ever use the pool and just loved it.

We had a BBQ dinner and Debbie & Tim had some friends over. They had a little 3yo boy and my girls were so happy to have some 'kid company'. They played so well but it was interesting to see the pecking order that naturally evolves when there is a 2yo, 3yo and 4yo playing. Debbie's bub was moving around frantically so we all got to 'play' with our future niece / nephew for a bit!
