I decided to enter 2 of my favourite photos in the Canon Photo competition. All the entries are very good so the competition is stiff! But it is worth a shot.

I am entering this photo of Isabella that won me a new digital camera at the start of this year!


I also entered this photo taken on the same day. She burst into tears when I said it was time I had to go inside. Even though it is a sad photo it is still one of my favourites as those who know Bella will know that this is an emotion we see a lot of :)

Our Highland Fling Fairy!

This was just too cute not to share!!

Saturday night we went to a local primary school fete and Alexandra was in awe of the highland dancers! She copied them and danced along side them, and when the pipe band came on she took over the stage and danced while the band played along in front of the stage. I only had my mobile so took some footage on that but was bummed I didn't take my camera. It was just soooo cute!!!

Well today we went to the Lilydale show and Alex was so happy to see the highland dancers again!!!

She looked at me as soon as she saw and yelled 'MUM! Dance!'

So off she went!! And this time I had my camera!! You can see the footage here

We know all her McKenzie and McNeil relatives will be so proud!!

A hen's night & a wedding !

Our very good friends Brony & Ryan finally decided to tie the knot!

It started with a hen's night that I organised for Brony - and what a night it was! I haven't been so drunk in a while and the karaoke was ideal!! Of course after a bottle and a half of champagne I thought I could sing - and moreso Brony!! We also thought it very cool that we wear lots of penises and underwear on our heads!

After the restaurant 4 of us headed off to the local over 28's nightclub! It was quite the meat market - but then what over 28's isn't?! We didn't care - we danced the night away to all our highschool classics. Brony had a great night and it was so nice to let the hair down again.

The wedding was the following weekend. Although it didn't rain and the weather appeared nice - it was rather chilly! But that didn't stop the bride and groom looking spunky!!! The ceremony was in a beautiful park and Brony looked simply gorgeous! I especially liked the bit in her vows where she said 'for richer or richer'!!

I was honoured to be one of the witnesses :)

Then we all moved to a local hall where we drank, ate and enjoyed more karaoke!! Everybody had a great night and it was especially nice to see the 2 of them so happy and finally married!
