My Bonnie Babe

Before we had Alex I used to do a lot of voluntary work for Bonnie Babes Foundation . Isabella attended a lot of photo shoots for promotional work and competitions. She has appeared in the newspaper several times and I was happy to see they used her again!

(this is the pamphlet and poster)

I was already aware of the current campaign, Pride of the Nation, and had read all the details and seen the advertising. But what I missed was Isabella's face in the map of Australia! It wasn't till Niki (thanks Niki!) told me about it and sent me some pamphlets that I realised Isabella was in it! I couldn't beleive I skimmed over all the kids and missed my own daughter! Ooops!

Anyway, I have contacted Bonnie Babes and they are sending me a poster to keep and I decided to grab some more to advertise the campaign at the children's centre where we have Playgroup and our health nurse.

Still tossing up whether to put the kids in the book... probably will end up doing it!

Sore Lip :(

Well the sad face emoticon :( is certainly an appropriate one for Alexandra! She masters this look perfectly!

For the second time this week she has fallen over and face planted...resulting in her teeth going through her lip.

Today we were at a playcentre for Siam's birthday party and Alex was having so much fun chasing after Isabella until she fell :( She is normally quite resilient when it comes to hurting herself but thanks to Isabella's reactions, she is now well aware what blood is.

Here she is showing us her lip! This look is quite hysterical and something she has taken to doing in the past few weeks when she is
upset. It is so hard not to laugh at her when you see this face coming toward you!

**Please excuse the hair!! She had just woken from her mammoth 4 hour nap!

I've been tagged

Thanks Robyn for tagging me!! Here are my responses.....

1. How old are you?
32 (but still feel 22!)

2. How many kids do you have if any?
We are blessed with 2 gorgeous girls...Isabella Rose is 4.5 and Alexandra Jamieson is 2.

3. Are you married, single, divorced, widow?
Married to Richard for almost 6 years, been together for 10 years!

4. What is your occupation?
I consider myself a SAHM as I gave up my career to be at home with the children. I am a Registered Nurse and now only work one shift a week (which I consider my day off!)

5. What are your passions?
These have changed over the years...and apart from my family first and foremost, I am quite passionate about getting involved with committees and anything to do with my kids, football (go swannies!), and laundry! Yes I am very passionate about how my laundry is done!

6. Are you a dreamer or a dream seeker?
Definately a bit of both!

7. Are you happy with the way you life has turned out?
Absolutely! Everyone has hurdles to face and we have certainly faced ours.... but things could always be worse and we have 2 healthy children and what could be better than that?

8. Are you a scrapper and if so how many hours a week do you scrap?
I am not a digiscrapper at all, but have enjoyed doing my albums by manual or 3D scrapping. Last time I attempted to scrap was the day I announced Alex's pregnancy to my friends at a scrapping day... and haven't touched it since! oops

9. What do you want to do before you die?
Get my post graduate diploma in Midwifery, and work in either women's health or maternal & child health. One day I will do it! And finally get that tattoo I have been promising myself!

10. What is your favorite food?
Definately chocolate and anything naughty!

11. What is the food you hate the most?
Olives, anchovies, sprouts

12. What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?
Well just today at kinder pickup the teacher pointed out that the back of my skirt was tucked into my knickers....! Although, I wasn't as embarrassed as the time it happened in Holland and I was really drunk in a bar. People were telling me but as I hadn't been there long I had no idea what they were saying to me and just kept on walking around! Now that was embarrassing!

13. What is the happiest day of your life thus far?
Hands down..... the birth of my girls and our wedding day.

14. Are you a neat freak?
LOL NO! but I am
so anal about little things... Rick wishes I was more anal about the bigger things though!

Finally.... some sun!

We had such lovely weather here in Melbourne during the week so I thought it might be nice to have an impromptu lunch date with some friends. I just love the feeling of Spring on it's way... I get so much more energy and the kids love playing outside. They really have missed being able to just run around the backyard at will. The girls had an absolute ball with their friends over and were well and truly tired out.

Alex missed her day sleep and managed a whopping 14.5 hours sleep that night ! LOL

Anyway, it was nice to see the kids getting some sunshine - but even better to sit and have coffee with great company and yummy treats! Nothing like a good gossip to pass the day ;o)
