~ FAMILY PORTRAITS ~

We had a family portrait fundraiser for our Playgroup a couple of weeks ago. I am so happy with the results! My heart melted when I saw this photo of the girls!
Apart from my boob almost hanging out and Rick talking I am also very happy with the family portrait!! LOL

'A bit of everything' post

Just a bit of an update on the happening's this past month.

We celebrated Rick's mum's 70th birthday recently. It was a fantastic night and quite a family reunion! We had people come from as far north as Toowoomba and from Adelaide too, just to celebrate the big day! Judith (MIL) was overwhelmed at the turnout and needless to say she had such a superb night.

Rick and his 4 older sisters with Mum We dined at Clover Cottage which is a 5 star restaurant in Berwick. OH MY GOD this place was amazing. It cost a mere $71 per head for the meal but oh my, it was worth it. The food was exquisite and you know you are going to be fed well when the hors d'oeuvres are as big as your normal main meal. We all rolled out of there stuffed to the eyeballs! But it didn't stop us stopping at Krispy Kremes for a dozen of their cream filled delights!! LOL

Well, most of you know I have been hassling Rick for another baby for the longest time now.... and he has been hassling me for his baby for the longest time too!! Well, I finally succumbed and he got himself a new motorbike! He used to ride before I met him and for the past 10 years I have been a bit dubious about him getting another motorbike. But lately we have adapted a 'Life is too short' motto and have decided to live for the moment! You just need to! So, he went out and got himself a Suzuki Boulevard Cruiser . He is quite fond of his baby and I am quite taken with it I must say. I feel more comfortable with him riding a cruising bike rather than a more racing looking bike. Anyway, one day we will be able to afford a big Harley which he has been wanting since he was a boy.

And some good news!!!! I am going to be an Aunty again!! My eldest sister Tina is 16 weeks pregnant with her second! She has a 10 year old and this pregnancy was quite a surprise! We are over the moon as she tried for years and after a few losses gave up. She has had a few scares but so far so good and we are all looking forward to meeting the newest addition to the family!!

ONE POINT !

Arrghhh!
My beloved Swannies went down in the AFL Grand Final by one point! Oh well, I actually prefer a one point loss in a grand final than a 50 point hiding! I actually like the fact that Sydney and West Coast have developed such a great rivalry now, and the matches are always close.

As usual, got right into the spirit. The girls had fun with the 'pom poms' I made from last year's final (which we WON!). Here they are making the 'goal' action and having some fun.

Bugger about Melbourne Storm losing too - there were those 3 VERY dodgy ref decisions that turned the match we thought. Oh well... next year! Bring on cricket!
